Jeanine M. Rooney, Esq. joined the firm in August 2012 and practices exclusively in the areas of family and matrimonial law. She earned her undergraduate degree from Bucknell University (cum laude) and her Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School (cum laude). During law school, she interned for matrimonial law firms, as well as the Nassau County Courts Summer Internship Program (specifically in the Family Court). In her third year of law school, she published a monograph entitled Marriage and Its Alternatives (Tribeca Square Press, 2009).
Ms. Rooney was admitted to the New Jersey State Bar in December, 2009, and the New York State Bar in April, 2010. Prior to joining the firm, she completed a two year clerkship with the Honorable Laura Drager in a matrimonial part of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, New York County.
Ms. Rooney has provided pro bono legal services through The Safe Center LI. She is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association’s Matrimonial Law Committee and Young Lawyers Committee, the Nassau County Women’s Bar Association’s Matrimonial Law Committee and the New York State Bar Association.
